Alleged Google employees call our customers and explain that the Google Business entries that have been free for a year will now be deleted.
Since the beginning of January, some of our customers have been receiving calls from a Dortmund number in which the caller introduces himself as a Google employee and claims that the Google Business entry will be deactivated shortly. It was supposedly only free for one year and can now only be activated for the next year for a fee of, for example, 249 euros.
This is of course nonsense because, firstly, large companies like Google do not call their customers and, secondly, Google Business is still offered free of charge and can be combined with Google AdWords if required.
We strongly advise you not to take these calls seriously. You can tell the caller directly that their scam has already been publicised or you can simply hang up.
